Silver Springs is ideally located at the intersection of U. S. Highways 50 and Alternate 95. Interstate highway 80 is just 15 miles to the north. Located in the center of Lyon County, it is a great spot for retail and industrial development, drawing customers from the surrounding communities.

A well-planned roadway network is integrated into the existing network in order accommodate the needs of our users. In addition to excellent highway access from U.S. #50 and State Highway #95A, a State Highway 567 connecting U.S Highway #50 with Tahoe Pacific Industrial Park and U. S.
- Highway #80 is planned for the near future.
- The region is served with an electrical substation that is planned for upgrade, adding two electrical substations with a complete new power loop system providing dual feed capabilities as the demand arises.
- Telephone service is provided by AT&T. State-of-the-art telecommunications services including DSL are available from AT&T upon request.
- The water table in the area is supplied by a huge aquifer below the ground and is fed by adjacent Lahontan Reservoir and Carson River. The General Improvement District provides water and has a state of the art sewer treatment facility.
- An active Southern Pacific railroad spur is located along the east edge of town.
- The Silver Springs Airport is located one mile West of the intersection of Highway 50 and 95A. It is on the NIPIAS system, and is a 24 hour, fully operational airport capable of accepting 737’s.
